TOP 5 REASONS TO GET THREAD LIFTS IN TORONTO & MISSISSAUGA
The Thread Lift has become a new favourite in the cosmetics world because it not only enhances your features and youthfulness but also works under the skin to rejuvenate.
1. Safe and long history of use
Threads (sutures) have been used in surgery and for “giving stitches” for many decades and have been shown to be safe when done in a medically sanitized environment where infections are unlikely. We recommend strongly that you have threads done by a Cosmetic Doctor because the risks, for example puncturing the facial nerve, are high when the injector is not highly qualified with lots of experience.
2. Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid and Elastin
The insertion of the Threads produces lifted tissue and a simultaneous healing response in the area where the threads have been inserted. This healing response causes a flood of collagen, hyaluronic acid (HA) and elastin making skin look more rejuvenated.
3. Minimally invasive and little downtime
Thread lift procedures are minimally invasive and do not require any cutting or general anaesthetic. They can be done is a Doctors office with the use of local freezing and typically take about 15 minutes per thread insertion. Recovery will include possible bruising and swelling.
4. The Results are discreet and natural
Gwyneth Paltrow called threads the “under the radar approach” to anti-aging because they worked by lifting the tissue and skin to create a balanced, natural, rejuvenated look without reducing movement in the face or overfilling the face. If you do not want people to know that you are doing cosmetic treatments for anti-aging, threads are for you!
5. Thread Lifts are low maintenance
Threads are done once every 3 to 5 years and do not require maintenance. The results continue to improve over time as the body floods the injected area with proteins like collagen, HA and elastin - your skin rejuvenation superheroes. Neurotoxins and dermal fillers can still be used after a thread lift procedure, and can work along side the inserted threads to create a truly amazing outcome.

THREAD LIFTS AND YOUR QUESTIONS
THREAD LIFTS AND YOUR QUESTIONS
Two Questions Asked at Every Thread Lift Consultation with Dr. Bector Answered
What can I expect during a Thread Lift procedure?
Prior to Procedure
You will start by having a complimentary consultation with our Medical Doctor which will include a discussion about your medical history, client examination if needed and a conversation about potential complications.
We will then determine whether or not you are a suitable Thread lift candidate.
Day of Procedure
We will provide consent forms and ensure that you understand the thread procedure, also answer any last questions you have before we begin. From there:
• Photographs are taken for the clinical chart
• The face is cleaned with a medical grade skin cleanser
• The face is marked with surgical pen to determine the points of entry and exit for the threads.
• Local anaesthetic is applied
• The threads are inserted by our cosmetic doctor
• The client is cleansed and after photos are taken for the clinical chart
• After care is discussed
• Follow-up appointment is scheduled
Is the Use of Threads Lifts new?
Threads, in the form of sutures used for stitching, have been used safety for many decades. Thread lifts date back to about 20 years ago when they made an appearance for cosmetic use in Asia and Russia. They are now considered mainstream and Thread lifts are performed globally.
PLLA stands for Poly-L-lactic acid, a substance that has a long history of use in both cosmetic and traditional medicine. Threads made from PLLA use bidirectional cones made of a biocompatible polymer to lift tissue and skin for a rejuvenated, natural appearance. PLLA threads, sutures, are reabsorbed by the body over time and work to stimulate the body’s production of Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid and Elastin.
PLLA Thread Lifts can improve the following:
• Lines, creases, and wrinkles
• Tighten and lift sagging skin to its original position
• Improve skin texture and elasticity
• Provide definition for facial contours including the cheekbones, jawline and neck
• Remodel signs of aging resulting from laugh lines, eyebrow dropping or downward migration of tissue and skin.
Benefits of PLLA Threads over PDO:
• Finer threads that if used correctly, will not be visible after the procedure
• Naturally re-absorbed by the body over 18 months to 2 years and provide results for 3 to 5 years in terms of lifting and tightening
• Excellent safety record of use that spans over 20 years
• Beautiful and natural looking results
KEY POINT
PLLA threads by Silhouette Soft are now Health Canada approved for use. Be sure to see a cosmetic doctor with the proper training and experience for this procedure.
Non invasive procedure can still have negative side effects if done incorrectly.
